Calling all NY alums! Join us for our February meeting! To receive the Zoom information and send back the membership application to AALUNYC@gmail.com
Dear Lincoln Alumnus,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. As a fellow alum of Lincoln University, PA, we are reaching out to you today to discuss an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution that will help make a difference in the lives of our current, incoming NY Lion students and support the growth of our beloved alma mater.
Since our graduation from Lincoln University, PA, we have witnessed the transformative power of our education and the lifelong connections we forged during our time on campus. As alumni, we have a unique responsibility to ensure that future generations of students have access to the same high-quality education and support that we received.
We are writing to invite you to join us in supporting our chapter end of the fiscal year fundraising efforts. Over the years, our chapter has been doing several consistent initiatives. Here are those initiatives:
1. Annual Alumni Awards and Gala: Highlighting alums of all generations who are doing exemplary work in their professional fields, in the community and have given back to Lincoln. This event proceeds go towards us achieving our goal of $100K student endowment that will go to NYC Lions who are in need of financial assistance and demonstrate academic excellence.
2. Freshmen Welcome and Send Off Event: An event for freshmen to meet alumni hear this experiences and advice, meet current NY Lincoln students and other NY Lincoln freshmen students. We give out welcome gift bags to the freshmen who attend. Food and beverages are purchased.
3. Holiday Toy Drive: We work with members of the chapter who are involved with other community based organizations to distribute toys from Toys For Tots throughout the Tri-State area to families for the holiday season.
4. College Fairs: We table at in person college fairs throughout the year in the Tri-State area and virtual.
5. Professional Development Day: A new initiative is to offer NY Lincoln graduates, current Lincoln students, alumni, high school students and professionals a day of workshops and networking. We will have presentations for resume and cover letter development, how to develop a LinkedIn profile, how to network and professional panel.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support the Chapter. Your generosity will contribute to the success of current and future students, ensuring that our beloved alma mater continues to thrive. We look forward to working with you to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
