On November 19, 2022, I presented at the LU Board of Trustees Meeting. I spoke about the 3 Ps that will be the ingredients to our success: People, Power, and Participation

For people, I focused on the amazing time we had at Homecoming returning to the Yard. I also announced the 3rd Annual Alumni Virtual Marketplace hosted by Sandra Marigna held on Black Friday. Finally, I shared that our 2nd Annual New Years' Prayer Service is planned for Sunday, January 8th.

For power, I spoke about the money that empowers our mission. Giving Tuesday is almost here! Alums are ready to help LU meet its fundraising goals. I also shared that the AALU is about to open registration for the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, July 17, right after Alumni Family Gathering. This year, Jim Thorpe will return, and we ask for full participation to help meet our fundraising goals.

Finally, for participation, I shared my disappointment that we had no candidates for Alumni Trustee for nomination to fill the two open FY 2023 seats. I shared that I will work with Bonnie to seek input from LU stakeholders, and that I will recommend two candidates for approval by the Alumni Council. I shared some of my desired competencies, including emotional intelligence, external awareness, building coalitions, leading people and change, and strategic experience. I shared that we will have candidates approved by either the February or April 2023 Council meetings.

We are a few weeks away from another WIN at the 2023 CIAA Basketball Tournament.  

The Hyatt Regency Baltimore Harbor Hotel will be the LU host hotel once again.  

The tournament will be held February 23 – 26, 2023 at the Royal Farms Arena.
